Almost a month after launching the feature on Android, WhatsApp has now introduced Companion Mode on iOS, which is going to allow users to link their accounts on up to four iPhones.

According to the details, the Companion Mode is available on WhatsApp for iOS version 23.10.7 and just like Android, the iOS version will allow users to sync their account history and messages on up to four iPhones.

However, some features like messaging broadcast lists and status updates can only be accessed on the primary device. Furthermore, the new WhatsApp for iOS now plays GIFs automatically in chats without having to tap on the message.

Recently, WhatsApp has rolled out a screen-sharing feature for beta users that can be enabled by tapping on the new icon in the call control menu during a video call. The new feature will help WhatsApp compete with apps like Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
